Best model to purchase for Aspire...

Post by harryball »

This may have been answered already but I couldn't find it.

What is the best model format to purchase from VectorArt3D for Aspire? I'm assuming .stl or should I choose a different format?

Thanks,
/RB

Hello Robert , V3M is the best for vectric products so they tell me :D . If you already ordered they are more then happy to get you the correct format. As Vectric is so good with support, so is VectorArt3D.

Being the paranoid "lots of baskets for my eggs" type that I am... if I purchase the V3M can Aspire export that into .stl if perhaps I had another program that would not read the .v3m format? Not that I know James wouldn't fix me up otherwise... but I'd hate to have to bother him if all I needed was a file conversion.

Yes Aspire can export an STL so you should be all set. It is not a problem for us to help with formats though. Cheers,
James

Pull it in as a .stl and save it as a .v3d.

I should probably clarify we (Vector Art 3D) do recommend the V3M for Aspire and Cut3D. They are smaller file size and slightly better quality. As mentioned though we will gladly switch over any purchase to one of the other file types we offer on the site (STL or RLF), just email us to ask for this.
Thanks,
james
