My Aspire DVD Arrived!

Well, we got our DVD today. It was a big family event, everyone was crowded around planning what's next. I can see I'm going to have competition for design time

Just thought I'd share some of the excitement.

Same here, package waiting for me when I got home from work.

I have a few VCarve designed plaques to make on the weekend, but hopefully I'll get time to make a cut. The time estimate for the dragon design tells me 7 hours to cut.

Ordered mine a week ago today .... used PayPal .. delivery hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully early next week.

Got my DVD in 1 week.

Took me about 1 1/2 hr. or so to carve the Dragon on home built machine at about 65 ipm.

I don't like to sand, I use 1/8 bit .005 step over 1 cut 1/2" deep.

Mine took only 5 working days to get to New Zealand, pretty good going i think.

We are looking forward to getting our copy. We just spent all of our money getting a cnc machine and are now saving up for Aspire. We had everybody hunkered around the dining table laptop checking out and playing with the Aspire trial on Thanksgiving Day. I can't imagine how it will be when we get an actual copy...

It's insane to think that we will be paying $1750 for a DVD! However, we keep telling ourselves that we should be happy that it isn't $8000.
