Slow preview

Post by Roscoe »

What would make the preview screen run real sloooooowwww? On previous files the preview ran quite quickly. On the current new file I am working on, no matter what setting I tried (cut speed, more overlay, unchecking animation, etc.) the part rendered very slow. Could this possibly be a function of my computer memory? Or is there a setting in the software I have mistakenly put in or left out?
Thanks for any help on this.

How about the "Preview Quality"? "Standard Quality" is the quickest.. -AD

The speed of the preview will also depend on the size of the tool relative to the model. Every time the tool is moved we need to check and possibly modify the simulation model under the tool. If the tool covers a larger proportion of the model we have more checking to do with each tool move.
