When I get (soon I hope) Aspire,I have no further need for V Carve?
Thanks
My understanding is that Aspire will do everything Vcarve will, and more. Although Vcarve will continue to be developed for users that do not want to purchase aspire.

So Tony, a customer shows up and needs to have the above flower
in 3D. How would you go about making this project happen.
(I gave you gray scale but also have the color version)

Mark,

There's no 'magic' button' for converting 2D / grayscale images / any designs to 3D.
3D projects will almost always require time to build and it's the usual thing where
the more practice the quicker it gets. I would not recommend designing any projects
in front of the customer.

LOL  Thats good advice! Customers usually don't appreciate the finer points of the artist's temprament. i.e: The Shouting and throwing things at the wall part when it JUST WONT WORK!!! :D

Ha! Learned that one about 20 years ago. The worst kind of customer is the one that stands behind you while you are at your computer and says "how about if we try this".... two hours later, he's still there. Politicians are the worst. Lawyers wanting to buy campaign signs are worse than the worst...
