move object
When I move object on the material the old location stays in place. how to "cut & paste" in effect instead of "copy & paste"

Are you just clicking a dragging the object? Not sure why the object would just stay in the old location, unless you're holding down the CTRL key while you drag the object.

Sounds like a 3D preview issue when toolpaths have not been recalculated.
