Jewelry Box

Post by stanv77 »

These were just finished last week and ready to be shipped out this week.
The first one is a walnut box with 3 different inlays.
The second box is a v-carved and painted on maple

Wow, the walnut box is spectacular!
The paint job on the "spidy-box" is awesome too.
Congrats!

Great job. Would you be willing to share your technique for painting? I constantly have the paint bleed. I spray the wood with laquer, v carve and then paint the letters with laquer in hopes of sealing the letters. When the letters are painted with black, I still get some bleeding. I feel confident that I am doing something wrong.

I love the walnut box...it really pops.
Would you mind sharing your process for making the heart/flower inlay?
