Swept Profile - Unwanted Lines

my swept profile is creating unwanted diagonal lines on the top surface...the rest of the profile comes out fine. Any way as to how I can avoid this?

I ran into this very same problem today. After playing around with it for a bit, I found that if I change the sweep rails from bezier curves to arcs (if it's possible in your design) then the problem goes away. I haven't written a problem report to Support yet, but that was planned for this evening.

Received a reply that they're looking at it and that turning on automatic boundary offset seems to stop it. That may cause other problems, depending on your design, so YMMV.

So we are talking about 2 rail sweeps, correct?

If yes I can't find the option "turning on automatic boundary offset seems" under the 2 rail sweep options.

Could you direct me to this option?

Interesting...I had this issue recently with a two-rail setup with the molding tool path...

No, not 2-rail sweep. This is a new option in the moulding toolpath in V10.

Sorry for misunderstanding earlier, but your example sure looks like it should be done with a moulding toolpath so that's what I assumed. I have found it to be much better for this kind of edge work than a 2-rail sweep because the toolpath comes out smoother and the tool starts at the edge of the molding rather than plunging straight to the center of the molding design as sometimes happens with an finish machining offset strategy

Sorry, I misspoke...my bad. I'll have to check out that check box for the next guitar body. Fortunately, the marks I had were not deep and sanded out.
