Rotary output miscue

Postby RhoTu » Tue Sep 10, 2019 8:11 pm

I have a project that is using a diamond drag point to etch a cylinder on a lathe. The design comes out correct but the order of moves I think is incorrect. With a spring loaded drag you need to be at the X depth before moving. The output from aspire is moving and plunging at the same time. Is there a setting or method that achieves this? Or am I incorrect in my thinking?
Output snippet:

N320 G1 Z0.0041 C-13.1453 X-0.1500 F29199.3
N330 G1 Z0.0044 C-13.5677 X-0.1500 F26869.2
N340 G1 Z0.0053 C-13.8410 X-0.1500 F35186.5
N350 G1 Z0.0058 C-13.8459 X-0.1500 F117593.5
N360 G00 X0.2000
N370 G00 Z0.0058
N380 G00 X0.2000
N390 G00 Z0.0046
N400 G00 X0.1500
N410 G00 Z0.0046
N420 G1 Z0.0046 C-15.1867 X-0.1500 F200.0 <---- it should move to C first and then it should move to X rather than plunging as it moves.
N430 G1 Z0.0039 C-15.2571 X-0.1500 F80181.7
N440 G1 Z0.0031 C-15.6027 X-0.1500 F30493.1

Just to be clear, the overall image is coming out as expected in its general shape but there are visible drag lines in some places as it moves from vector to vector.

Could be wrong about this but I think you need to look at your postprocessor.

Thanks Ted, I have changed the PP and I think  that I have what I want. Will report after I give it a few tries.
