FREEBIE! (Laser Scales)

Post by TReischl »

One can never have enough scales around the shop, sort of like clamps.

Since I am not SpaceX or NASA I do not need machinists scales. I also like scales that are easy to read, so forget those 1/64 and 1/32 divisions, I do not walk around with an eye lupe attached to my glasses.

There are a total of six different scales in this file. 3 - 12 inch and 3 - 6 inch. There is left to right reading, right to left reading and centering scales.

The files are designed to etch the marks into material that is either 12.25 or 6.25 long by 1.25. The vectors run off the edge on purpose. I do not try to mill these out on the machine. It is easier to just cut them off to length on the radial arm saw.

Here is the file to download. It is in PDF X4 format which works well with Aspire. I have transitioned from EPS to PDF recently, solves a bunch of issues that can occur with EPS files.

Thanks for these. I am sure they will be useful. I will probablly laser etch them onto a substrate for use.
