Help on a probably simple problem

I'm trying to make a recessed area on the lower 8" part of a 20" x 12" board, in which will be a horse and a hitching post.
The recess should go from side to side, 19" x 8 " high. I can get this all designed, but when it goes to tool path it cuts the entire
board top to bottom leaving the horse etc ok.

What am I missing here? I have put a square box around the area and tried all kinds of things but no luck !!!!!

3D toolpaths? Is the box selected and do you have the Selected Vector(s) option selected when creating the toolpath?

Got it Done, Don't know what was happening but I started the whole thing over & got it working.
