Inlay issue - V path isn’t in correct spot

Hello.

I’m attempting my first inlay. My router is a hybrid of the Ox on Openbulds. I’ve had it setup for a couple months now and everything has worked fine until this cut.

I’m doing the inlay in Aspire using the method that outlines the image using a V bit.

The endmill cuts fine but the V bit isn’t lined up correctly. I’ve tried it several different times and started from scratch a couple times thinking my file was messed up for some reason. Any ideas on what I should look at to correct this? Thanks!

Post your actual Aspire file.

That picture does not tell us much. Could be you shifted the material, moved the image when programming, all sorts of things.

Also, how does the toolpath preview look? If it looks correct then you are having an issue of some sort on your machine.

I have never used the inlay toolpath because I like the v carve method. However, you graphic reminds me of the times I forget to flip over the male inlay.

As Ted has said hard to tell anything from your picture, it is quite possible as Charlie has said you have not mirrored the inlay
