V3D File

How can I convert a V3D file into a usable 3D file? When importing the Cut3D tool path into Aspire it only imports one side of the tool paths giving a mirror image rather then the full 3D model.

Never used cut3D but if aspire won't import a cut3D model then do you have the option in cut3D to export as an STL the same as you do in Aspire??

What was the starting point for the Cut3D file? Can't you import the model used to create it directly into Aspire or do you only have the Cut3D file? Aspire is a two sided program and Cut3D is a four sided one so any side detail will be lost unless you get clever with slicing/orientation.

The files are by origin V3D, actually sample files that came with Cut3D. I'm aware of the capability of Cut3d and Aspire and the inability to convert. I need a way to convert V3D to STL or OBJ.

Which sample file? I haven't looked at Cut3D for years but from what I remember all the sample files were freely available STL models.

I'm afraid you will have to show me exactly where and how to download them as STL or any other file format different than V3D. Yes you can download the video but that doesn't help.

The Porsche file is on the page I linked to. Click on the Download files above the video and that will download an installer that will install the files and video in the Tutorials section of Vectric Files in the Public Documents folder.

3.6 GB of disk space to get one little 3D file! That's what I call the hard way. It's the rooster that I actually wanted.
