Making an Earth globe

Postby Ms Wolffie » Mon Mar 18, 2019 11:05 am

Hello everybody, long time no see.
I believe that I am now ready to come back to CNC, at least a small part of the day.
The problem I am having is that I want to make an Earth globe.
I have got a model of it which is 2 halves glued together.
The model is loaded into Aspire as 2 components.
How do I set Aspire up so that I can see both components side by side??
If I tick both halves, they get superimposed on top of each other and becomes elongated to twice the height.
I want to be able to see both halves at the same time so that I can see where they overlap, and then know where to set the Z plane on the model.
I have looked and looked but can't find a tutorial about it.
It is an STL model.
TIA

Click twice on one to select and activate move mode then drag it away from the other. If you prefer you could use the move tool and enter distances to move.
