Hi All,
Did my first InLay yesterday... not too bad, my question is what types of wood is best for the male V Carve ? is a soft wood ok or should I use a hard wood ?
I did use a softwood and there is a dark edge to the letters.... was I being too cautious with my sanding?
Thanks
Ron

Some glues will give a dark edge to your inlay. I've played around with many glues, including different brands of PVA and epoxy. The best I've found is actually from Lee Valley, their 2002GF PVA glue. Not sure what a similar glue would be in Australia.
Hardwood inlays will probably give cleaner results.

Thank you ... makes sense, I will test a few different types of glue.
I used Titebond 3
