Basket weave

Post by oxenham1 »

I modeled a basket weave for an upcoming job tonight. I thought that I would post the file for anyone to use if they wanted. It is 12"X12" and is tile-able in all directions for different size jobs.
I would love to see any projects created with it if you choose to use it!

What is a "completely closed" basketweave?

Just make your profile shape as wide (or a teeny bit wider) than the spacing between your weave rails. After running the extrude-and-weave, you should have no gaps in the resulting model.

Don't use the component as it predates the extrude and weave function that is in Aspire now as Michael points out. You can create a weave to your exact specification using that function.
