Hello,
I am a newbie to this and need some help with mirroring a 3D surface. I probe the outside of a mandolin top to get a file. I am trying to mirror half of it and then put the two halves together to create an entire top. When I try to put the mirrored half back together with the original I either wind up with a ridge or a grove where the two halves join. I have spent hours trying to get a perfect junction by moving one half incrementally back and forth. Is there a way to do this seamlessly? Using 9.5.
Thanks, Graham

If I'm guessing at this correctly, I think you need to set one of the components to "Merged" (combine with other components) in the component properties dialogue box.

Haha, this is something that constantly gets me when trying to learn 3D modeling, especially once you start building things up & the number of components increases, why can't it be like 2D which is pretty easy, no matter how many things overlap or how many things are thrown on top of each other the result is always flat
