The job is always a rectangle.

Out of interest why would you need it to be to be a circle?

I am curious too.
It does not matter what shape the layout page is, you can create any shape you want on the square/rectangle page.
Machines are square/rectangle and the drawing page is similar to the shape of the machine.

More information would make it possible to give more help.

Sorry should have been clear. I have a round piece I need to do some work on. I have a 3.5" circle I need to cut a .125 grove in at 1". Going to be a problem. Maybe I could set my zero in the center and just make the setup square. Think that would work?

It will work fine. Just define your job size to be > 7", with the XY Datum Position to be the center. Mark the center of your round piece, set the xy=0 there, and you're ready to go.
