Thanks Scott, the next ones will be better, think the difference in machining height you can see is because I used a small ball nose bit after the initial larger area clearance tool :lol: :lol:

Michael, yes it was fun, I enjoy experimenting & trying new things so this was right up my street :lol:
Got no idea if there is a standard sort of depth for this sort of thing, couldn't find anything when doing research. I made it 1.25mm (0.049 inch) but I actually think that might be a little bit to much so going to try a little smaller on the next one.

One thing I did learn that I hadn't thought about was just how sharp the points could be, will have to go through all the artwork I have done & round over any points I can find :lol: :lol:

Nice job Martin. Looks to fit the bill quite nicely.
I remember the first time I cut brass. I also was super conservative and sat right on the machine for the entire cut. :lol: :lol: :lol:
