Computer Mouse with regards to Node Editing

Post by Desert_Woodworker »

After a session “node editing” madness- clicking the mouse on the nodes multiple times and not being able to get it to “catch” (getting it red) so that I could edit…
Question: What is the best computer mouse to use with node editing or does it matter?

I've always used standard 2 button mice with a scroll wheel, both Microsoft and Logitech, with no problems. If clicks aren't catching and battery in the mouse it good and there's nothing blocking the transceiver, may be time for a new mouse.

I use a Logitech wireless Master MX 2S 3 button (scroll wheel is middle button). It has a lot of programmable buttons but I have most of them turned off. I agree with Steve, Any good 3 button (2 + wheel) mouse will work.

Draw a simple circle and check if node editing works OK.

If it is not, it's maybe time to follow Steve's advice.

If it works with the circle, be sure you've zoomed enough in your design. When control handles are very close to the node, it may be difficult to get it selected without zooming.
Best regards

You may need to zoom in a bit to "see" the actual node.
Sometimes the handles of a bezier node are so close to the node itself that it's difficult to only select the node.
You may also want to adjust the "Snapping Radius" ...( F4 )

+1 to what Michael M has said, it frustrates me sometimes trying to select a single node & the only option is to zoom in closer to the node.
I have found that it makes no difference what computer I am using or which mouse I am using
