I recently downloaded Aspire V9.5 however haven't opened it yet, I want to create a backup file in case my antique computer decides it's time to have the gremlins take it away and I'm out a computer. To ensure I have a large enough disk what is the size of Aspire V9.5.

Right click on the file you want to save, then click on "Properties" to see the size.

The latest version that you're eligible for is always available in the "cloud" from your portal account so there's no need to backup the downloaded installation file unless you want an archive of older versions.
