Font issue

Post by cconway »

I am working on this frame for someone who is a graphic designer and they supplied the words and date at the bottom of the frame. I don't seem to be able to get a good cut on them. Everything I have tried has shown up terrible in the preview. I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion for getting a clean cut. I have uploaded the file to my Google Drive. The kink is: https://drive.google.com/open?id=19X1gJ ... acAaz-GuNi

Thanks!

It looks ok to me in the preview. With text that small on a material that size you'll need the resolution of the preview to be at the highest (Toolpaths menu, preview simulation quality).

You could also reduce the material size to 4" x 1" and place the text in there to get the best possible preview. Even on the highest resolutions a small cut will look pixelated on a large piece of material.

I can't read a .crv3d...can someone send me the fonts saved as an .eps?
Will that import tho Charlie's font size?
If not, then a screenshot of the text sizing will help me a lot.
Charlie just asked me to help if I can.

OH...Saved as a .crv would be ideal?

I've attached it as CRV format in a ZIP due to the size.

Download the free trial version of Aspire. You can use it to open the .crv3d and Save As a .crv with it.

Thanks Mike!
Didn't know that, and still haven't got this computer's clean install set up with all my old programs.
Going on an "as needed" basis with this tower to keep the speed up.
