Aspire Camp 2019???

Post by WNC_Ed »

I see in the past there have been "Aspire Camps" and wondering if there is one planned for 2019?
Thank you,

This is what Jim posted on Facebook recently:
Updates ! 2019.

I am still mulling about the camp this year, Vectric has grown as we all have, and I have not contacted them as I usually wait til after the new year.

I may be facing surgery during the time of the camp and this knocks me down a good 4 months,

As well we may be buying a building and moving the shop, the new shop will also be a great place to hold a camp and I did consider this when I am purchasing !

Some of the old timers who traditionally have been the backbone have some things on their own,

I do know if we did run the camp I would have the support and now that i have purchased all the equipment it takes to run it would lower the prices.

I will pray on it, carve on!!

Thank you for the quick response.
Sounds like a solid maybe. Or, possibly I am being optimistic.
I would be a definite if anyone is doing a preliminary head count.

Jim McGrew posted in Camheads recently that there will be no Aspire Camp for 2019 due to both health reasons and a potential shop move. The current plan is to resume next year and make it an even better event...which is no easy feat give how good it has been already in previous iterations.

Jim
Thank you for the update.
Certainly not what I was hoping to hear.
I will be looking forward to 2020
Are there any other workshop/camps before Denver?
