Auto save ?

Post by tim mck »

Hi,
Is there anyway to set an auto save …. twice I have walked away from my laptop and its just suddenly gone into a auto update … most annoying as it shuts down the program with no data saved.
Is there a simple solution for this.
Thanks
Tim

There are multiple backup options but no Auto save. It wouldn't really be practical with the amount of time it takes to save a complex file.

Use SyncToy (free from Microsoft) and back up a folder with all of your CNC files. Set it up so it only backs up the files that are new. Takes no time at all.

Still have to remember to save the file though. SyncToy (and other related programs) can only create backups once the file has been saved. You will still lose all the changes made since the last save if the PC reboots.
