Looking for an experienced woodworker in Australia

Post by rscrawford »

Please let me know if this isn't allowed on this forum.

A client from Wagga Wagga, NSW contacted me about purchasing a rocking chair, but it just isn't worth shipping from Canada to Australia.

If you are interested in building a rocking chair from the Aspire or V-carve files I have, and are close enough to Wagga Wagga to ship it there, please contact me. She is willing to pay the $3400 plus shipping that I have the rocker listed at, but I'm not willing to go through the hassle of crating and shipping to Australia, having recently had a bad experience shipping a rocker to the US and having my crate opened at the border and them not properly re-packaging it (arrived very damaged). I'm sure shipping overseas would be worse, and harder to correct any misfortunes.

This is an advanced project, pictures below if you haven't seen it before. The plans include everything you need and I would offer email support to get you through your first rocker. You would probably want to make a couple to insure a good product for this first customer!

Hi
I am in NSW, running Aspire on a Multicam 4 axis(AXYZ parent company) if that helps. I have experience and currently make seats for custom furniture manufacturer as and when required. I manufacture specialised dive equipment for commercial and military also.
Sample photo of seat attached.

Cheers
