Print off manual

Post by Robertdistasiojr »

Hi, I upgraded to 9.5 (ASPIRE) and I am trying to print off the manual. I cannot seem to find the PDF I need. Has anyone else printed off a manual?

Provided you are using Windows, right click over what you want to print. When you the hit print, it should ask you the Print Destination (what printer). You then can save it as a PDF.

After I re-read your post, I don't know if there is a manual, but you do have online video tutorials.

Hello Bob,

Guessing that the reply that I sent to you earlier, must have gotten caught in your spam.

To save a PDF version of the Help File / Reference manual,
From the main menu bar of the application, please click "Help > Help Contents,
When the Help File / Reference manual opens in your web browser,
at the bottom of the page, you should see some links, one of which
will be to display the document as a single page, (please see the attached image).
Please click this, if you then scroll down on the single page, this link will then change to "PDF Version"
(please see the attached image).
Please click on this link, the printable PDF version Reference manual will then
open, you can then print this version.

I hope that this helps.

Cheers,

Mark.

There is no more pdf, but a html file.

Menu Help>Help content

It will open the document in your default browser with 1 page per topic.

At the bottom of the page, there is a small floating toolbar. Click "Single Page". Then you have the whole documentation in 1 html page.

On Windows 7 or older, you have to install a pdf driver before you can print as a pdf (not all browsers allow printing with a right click).

If you want a paper manual, just print it from the browser. I don't see the advantages of exporting it to pdf.
Best regards

Mark was faster than me.

Mark, with the 9.507 trial edition and Firefox, the link does not change to "PDF version".

Except if you transfert it to a reader or a tablet, what's the interest of the pdf version?
Best regards

The PDF version has a Table of Contents and a Glossary which the html version doesn't.

It's working ok for me with Firefox, Chrome and Edge with 9.510. Depending on how you have Firefox setup it might be invisibly downloading the PDF in the background to your downloads folder rather than displaying it.

Thanks Adrian.

I updated Firefox and I still have the same behavior. Idem with IE. Maybe a trial limitation.

Good to know for the table of contents and glossary.
Best regards

Works exactly as Mark detailed above to get the pdf version. "Single Page" is very small at the bottom and easy to miss.

Not here. No problem founding the "Single page" button, but it does not change to "PDF Version", it switches to "Main Site".

Not a big issue for me.
