Does anyone use aspire with Mecanumeric machine

Post by Klabbolle »

Hi
I've been offered a MECANUMERIC Maca Pro 1015.
Does anyone use aspire with this brand of machine, is there postprocessors usable for it?

Thanks
Christer

It looks like it uses Siemens control software so the Siemens808D_mm should work.
Select the Siemens840DArc_ATC_mm if you have an automatic tool changer.

It is best to verify this information with the company.

I see on the website that the new ones have either SIEMENS or HEIDENHAIN controls

Do you know what control it has?

Either way there is a post for it.

Hi,

Is it a new one or an old model?

I had an old Mecapro with their proprietary control and I probably can find in my archives the postprocessor I modified for this machine.

Thank you all, the machine is made 2008, so it is quite old (even though it feels like yesterday 8) .
LittleGrayMan, you have used a Mecapro; is it a good machine, I mean precisionvise and if it have any contruction flaws and is it easy to fix?
I currently use a SCM Record 120 (yom 1998) and a chineese exitech from 2009. I was thinking about replacing the Exitech with the Mecanumeric.

No problem, it's a very good machine, sturdy and reliable and you will be able to order most parts from Mecanumeric, except probably the proprietary control board. If you have this board, it is functionally OK but its technology is outdated and it is no more produced.

If you have to rely on this machine, it's probably the weakest part.

IIRC, I have some videos of the machine. Contact me by PM and I'll send you a link.
