FISH

Post by Leo »

I am learning.

I did this fish just from an idea in my head.

I started with a blank piece of paper - so to speak. (blank screen)

I drew vectors and did a 2 rail sweep with several shape vector stations

Lots of sculpting - LOTS, of sculpting.

Added a little newly learned knowledge.

So, this is my BIG FAT fish. I plan to make it - sand blast, of flame distress it - beat it to distress it more, paint it to look cool - not like a real fish.

I may do a bit more to it. I think a bit bore around the gills and side fin.

Just so ya know - it's not meant to look like a real fish. This is going to be wall art decor. I am thinking sand blasting, and serious distressing

Leo, You ought to consider doing it as a double side project. I did one for a gift and now you can't believe all the requests from all the fisherman I know.

WOW - that is sooo cool. I just may try that a bit further down the road.

Are you "selling" those or do you get requests for "gifts"

I am trying to develop stuff to sell with low labor input.

Leo, love the fish, I got a giant lure that was carved by some famous carver for my grandson at auction for his birthday about 2 years ago.. (He likes to fish, and a 10 year old that wasn't glued to a digital device and wanted to go fishing with his G'pa - well, what can I say?!)

So a two sided carve that is a giant fishing lure could have some possibilities!

If you need the artists name, I can text him tomorrow so you can see them.
