Jagged Edges on 3d Dish

Post by nkrech »

I'm slowly figuring out Aspire but I'm having issues with a dish that the 3d model is sitting in. The edges of the dish are coming out jagged and I can't figure out how to fix it. I've followed some of the 3d vectric videos (specifically the golf award design, which is almost exactly what I'm doing) but can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Ive also found similar help topics in here but still coming up short.

Does anyone have any ideas? Here is a pic of the 2d / 3d shot.

Have you created a zero plane? It's the last icon on the first row of modelling tools.

A zero plane should take care of that.

This is a 9 year old post, but it does explain what is happening and why a zero plane solves the problem: Identifying and eliminating software generated chatter marks

Oh man! That's it! I worked on this model and another and I didn't do the zero plane on this one! That's my issue! Thanks
