Just got a new computer with Windows 10. The F9 key (to center selected vectors) does not work. I googled for F9 key not working, this seems to be a common issue with other software. I can't find a fix that works for Aspire. Anyone have a fix? This is one of my most often used shortcuts.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

Re: F9 key not working
Is it a multi-function keyboard? On a lot of them these days the f-keys are a secondary rather than primary function so perhaps it's been switched around in settings or something?
All my computers run Windows 10 and I haven't had an issue with any of they f-keys with Aspire or other software.

Thanks, Adrian. Fn + F9 works. Haven't seen that before.

Hello Phil, you can Google and find a method used to change the function keys back to a primary function. I wish I knew the sequence but it can be done.

On Dell laptops, it's changed in the bios.

Re: F9 key not working
Depends on the keyboard/computer. If it's a laptop then you can often switch it in the BIOS settings and sometimes the manufacturer includes a program that controls many different settings including that from Windows.
On my Microsoft Sculpt keyboards which I use with my desktops it's a physical switch on the top right that allows you to switch between FN and smart keys without having to hold down another key all the time.

Got it, I got into the BIOS and changed the setting. Thanks to all who helped.
