Converting a Icosahedron into a sphere

Post by Soapyjoe »

Hi Everybody,

With the help of the forum I successfully made the domed shaped pieces to convert a Dodecahedron into a sphere.

Now I wish to do a similar exercise machining the pieces to convert an Icosahedron into a Sphere.

I am a bit confused as to how to work out the height of the Domes

Any assistance most welcomed.

Soapy

I would be interested in the process you used a Dodecahedron to create a sphere.
