Is it possible to move Aspire to a new computer? Or will I need to download to the new computer from the Portal?

You generally can't just move ANY software. You almost always need to run the installer to install it.

I agree with Gerry.
But if you kept the installer, you don't need to download it again. You can move it to the the new computer or run it from a USB stick.

It is my understanding that you can only download it 3 times. I hope that I am wrong.
Question: I am on my 3rd download and my computer is getting old- Will I be out of luck?

I’m not aware of a download limit for licensed users. I believe you log in to your Portal Account and download whatever/whenever necessary.

I think what the case is that you can only download to 3 different computers. If you try to download to the 4th computer you have to deactivate one of the previous 3.

Re: Move Aspire to a new computer
I don't think there is a limit of downloads. On my old desktop, I did major renovations and re-installed Vcarve at least a couple of times. That PC went up in smoke, so I finally got a new one. Another fresh install. I'm also on my second laptop with at least one fresh install on each. In all, I still have only two running PCs with Vcarve 9 installed, a desktop and a laptop. Lots of downloads, though. No problems.

Downloading and installing are two different things.
You can download the installation files as many times as you want, but you can only install Aspire on 3 computers.
