Help Please

Post by vfauto »

Can someone tell me how to raise this complete model up so that the bottom is .1875 high before the dome starts carving.

Frank,

Are you referring to the grape cluster? You want it to be .1875 proud of the dome top?

No I want the dome and the grapes to raise up so there is an edge at the base of the dome.

Got it...

You're working with a .75 thick piece of material.

.75 - .1875 (desired thickness below the bottom of the dome) = .5625 left for dome height and grape cluster height.

I added a Zero Plane component.

I set the height of the dome component to .25 and 0 base height leaving .3125 for the height of the grape cluster.

I set the grape cluster component height to .3125 and 0 base height

In Material Setup under Model Position in Material I set the Gap Below Model to .1875

Not sure I understand zero plane but when I get back to software I will play with it.
