Problems with Finishing Toolpaths

Post by David Chase »

We are finishing up our first 3D project and the roughing comes out fine, but not all the vectors are coming out when previewing the finish toolpaths. We've attached an image showing the 3D view and the problematic toolpath preview. All of the right vectors are selected, but they are just not being cut out! Any advice?

Hard to say without seeing the actual file. Could be a number of things, such as a missing vector boundary, the selection options made in the Finish Toolpath window, etc. Rather than "guessing", it will expedite a valid answer after viewing the actual file.

I'm sure the file is too large to directly upload here on the forum, so you need to use something like DropBox and post the download link instead. Be sure to keep the file as-is (toolpaths and all), so the problem can be diagnosed and solved properly.

If you can't add the file for copyright reasons then consider sending it to vectric support as they will be able to assist, not sure I fully understand the question as you can't cut vectors using a 3D toolpath, you can use them as a boundary but not actually cut them
