Node Editing/Bezier and Smoothing

Post by sylvan356 »

Would someone please explain the difference in making a node a bezier vs. smoothing the node? When is one more appropriate then the other? I would really appreciate an explanation! Thanks!

A two or more smoothing nodes makes a Bezier Line. They are Bezier lines/curves ..not Bezier nodes.

Sylvan...
I am sure you can figure the Bezier out by playing with the handles. To figure out smoothing try this:

Make a rectangle
Change all lines to Bezier
hover over each corner and play with the handles both before and after you press "S" over the node
Smoothing keeps the handles the same length and equidistant from the angular centerline of the approaches. "in smooth" lets them be what you need them to be
