I have a 3D Torso project I am working on. I sliced the model in half. I then sliced each half into additional slices, which will be reassembled into the torso.
I need to break some of the component slices apart, to make better use of the expensive materials and increase machining efficiencies. However, I cannot seem to remember or figure out how to do that.
In the attached renderings, you can see that some of the slices have smaller satellite pieces on the slice, which make nesting a challenge and uses way too much valuable space on expensive material. It would be much better if I could break these satellite parts away and nest them individually.
The material is 24" x 60" x .5" and the rendering represents two sheets. Right now I will need four sheets and if I could break away the satellite pieces, I could get it down to three sheets.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Regards,
SD
