There are a number of problems here, some related directly to your question and some not.

1. Before you make the sweep, you should fix your sweep vector. There are a couple of problems with it:

- First, you have loops and overlapping vectors. Those need to be fixed
- Second, the "beads" are attempting to undercut the material. Aspire will just give you a vertical face at the points where the vector undercuts.
- Third, the sweep vector should be even across the bottom - i.e., both sides should have the same "Y" Value. This isn't an absolute requirement, but you'll get a more predictable result.

2. To fix the corners, you need to set cross sections at each corner. You do this after you have selected your rails and the sweep vector, by clicking on one node of the corner and then moving the other side of the cross section to the other corner. It will look like this when you are done:

3. The little jags at the top left and the inside round corners are guaranteed to be ugly. You should fix those.

A couple of observations to hopefully add to what Steve has pointed out:

Cross section drawn is 8" and actual rail width is 1" I think they should be equal or only as big as the widest point in the sweep or not. I am not sure about this, but I think it makes sense.

The legs on your cross section are not equal and will cause the finished model to be skewed. This maybe what you want, but if not, then they should be the same height. (Oops, Steve covered this...)

You material height is .75" but your cross section is over 2"

Like Steve says, what you drew and what you got is two different things, you can check the model cross section with the "Measure Tool" and see if you get what you want.

Hope this is of some help...joe

That looks pretty good. I need to put more borders on some of my projects.
