Diamension Lines

Post by Soapyjoe »

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick topic that I feel sure the experts will quickly solve.

I have noticed that when I dimension a drawing in Vectric .... when printed out the diamension lines and text are very pale and quite difficult to read.

I have experimented with various fonts with little success

Any solution?

Printing directly from Aspire or exporting and printing?

If you make sure the Place Dimensions On Layer box is checked you can change the colour of the layer that the dimensions are on using the layers tab or dropdown to make it clearer when printing.

Thanks once again.... I had the dimensions on a separate layer.... changed this layer to a sort of dark blue and it is now quite clear and more legible.

I have not experimented yet but will the dimension layer remember my selection or do I need to do this each time

Great forum

Don't know to be honest. I always use the default colours so you'll have to experiment. I expect it will reset each time unless the layer already exists in the job.
