Re-nest parts for larger material size?
Re-nest parts for larger material size?
I was given a file which has already been nested for a 4x4 router. I have a 4x8 work area and would like to use full sheets.. Is it possible to re-nest these parts to a larger material size? I tried copying all the vectors to the default sheet, but none of the toolpaths moved with the vectors..

I would open another Aspire session and the copy and paste each sheet to it then you can renest to fit

I tried that but the toolpaths don't go with it when I paste in another window.

How where the toolpaths created? Are the vectors on layers for each toolpath?
When nesting you should really use the Vector Selector feature of the toolpaths that associates the toolpaths with layers. That way you only have to click the Recalculate All button after nesting to get the toolpaths to "see" the new layout.
Otherwise the only association between the toolpaths and the vectors is the manual selection which is lost when the vectors are re-nested so you need to do the manual selection process for each toolpath again.
