Importing Form Tool from existing projects

I received a drawing with a new form tool included for a custom bit. The friend does not know where he put the drawing of the tool face. Is their any way to export the tool from the file he sent and importing the new form tool in to my 9.0 tool data base.

There's an import/export on the Tool Database they will let export one or more tool definitions and then import them into another. It has to be exported from your friends tool database though not the CRV3D file.

Alternatively you could save the toolpath in the CRV3D file you have as a toolpath template and then import that toolpath into new jobs.

Thanks Adrian, I saved the toolpath in the CRV3D file as a toolpath template and then re-imported it to my next project using the same form bit.

It works great.
