Shift rotate on 15 degree increments - V9 Copy/Paste

Post by dbrook »

In Aspire version 8.5 when I hold down the shift key with an object selected I can rotate an object in 15 degree increments. This feature appears not to work in Version 9. I frequently use this feature and have been disappointed that it does not appear to work in Version 9. Also when I copy a 2D drawing as I have previously done in Version 8.5 and open an instance of Aspire Version 9 then try to paste the drawn part, it will not paste into the Version 9 work surface.

Have these features been taken out of Version 9 or am I mission something?

First part, instead of Shift key use the Alt key.

Second part, I have no problems copying 2D or 3D from one instance of Aspire 9x to another. Can't copy and paste from VCP 8.x to Aspire 9.x.

Pasting between different versions doesn't always work as the underlying information can change from version to version. With some versions it has worked presumably because that information hasn't changed. Looks like it has from 8.5 to 9.

You can still export and import between versions though (EPS,SVG etc) and newer versions can directly import/load older version CRV/CRV3D files.

Thanks Adrian for the response. I had not thought about exporting the drawing. Old age must be getting to me.
