2 sided machining not going full depth

Post by Wayne Locke »

I am about to ram my head through he computer screen. What am I missing? I have a 2 sided chair seat which is 1.75" thick. The model looks great on both sides but the tool path will not go to the bottom. The z zero is to the center.

If you import a 3D model, determine how much you want to undercut and add that positive number into the zero plane position in the model. If you don't have a zero plane add one and under properties put it as a negative height. Offset the toolpath the radius of the mills. Gary
