I have a stl model I want to add text to
when I first add the text it is pink and appears ontop of the model
when I click it to size or move, it disappears and the only way to find it is to move the model over
have tried both text methods. Thought by changing the font color it would work but no way to change font color
help please
thank you
andy

Re: adding text to a stl model
Create the text, place it where you want by dragging, create toolpath and make sure "Project toolpath onto 3D model" is checked. Run preview to see results.
The colour of the text is not relevant. Vectors are always pink (actually magenta) by default in Vectric products.
If you haven't been through them already it's a good idea to work your way through the tutorials to get a handle on the basic operations.

Re: adding text to a stl model
Had a friend call a couple months ago with the same problem. Had a model on-screen in the 2D view, typed some text and it "disappeared" after exiting the Text Editor and de-selecting the text.
Put your model on its own layer, and place your text on a different layer.
Then (as redwood said) change the order of the layers if necessary, so that your text becomes visible on top of the model in the 2D view window.
(In your Layer list, the Model layer should be above the Text layer.)
