I have the latest version of Aspire installed ( 9.010 ). I have all of the layers set to black. Yet the pdf output is poor quality and difficult to read , even when printed out.
Thoughts ?

Looks perfectly clear to me. Sounds like it might be something up with PDF rendering on your computer.

Yes, it is wierd, as soon as I uploaded it from the forum it was clear. Here is a screen shot from my reader. I'm using adobe acrobat reader DC.

Yep, I get the same if I view it in Acrobat DC. It's fine in every other PDF reader I have though.
In DC there are some rendering options under Edit/Preferences/Page Display which seems to improve things when turned off.
