Been a while thought i must post the latest guitar neck profiles cut using aspire two sided maching.
I used 3/4 inch thick maple and wenge the first side cutting slot for truss rod, then infil over the top again and machining levell
Turned over then machined neck profile and tuner holes.
A 1/4 inch thick fretboard glues on neck front inays are mother of pearl white outside black inside cut using a 1/32 cutter.

Still haven't tried cutting a neck but my bass player has some stock glued up to try so it won't be long...

Mike by cutting into strips and turning 90 degrees and glueing then re planing this gets the grain of the wood the best way to take the strain from the strings and stop the neck bending excessively (you probably know this any way)

Looks awesome what program did you use to model them? I've been trying to model a neck in rhino and just can't get it right. I added a couple of files of necks I've done.

Nice work. Are the thin fret slots cnc machined as well? If so where do you get your end mills for that?
