Post processor for Carbide 3D

Postby kaartman » Fri Aug 25, 2017 2:37 pm

I am so lucky to receive a Carbide3D (Nomad 883 Pro) desktop cnc as a gift, this cnc use Carbide motion and other software for 2D and 2.5D machining and I wonder if there a post processor available for Aspire.

Not familiar with those machines but from the website they say that Carbide Motion is used for the Shapeoko and the Nomad machines. There's a Shapeoko post processor in Aspire.

Thank you Adrian, I cannot see the post processor for the Shapeoko in the list but then Shapeoko is one of the machines in their range.

Vectric has included a Post-Processor for the Shapeoko (same firmware and same company as the Nomad 883) since v8.5:

"C:\ProgramData\Vectric\VCarve Desktop\V8.5\PostP\Shapeoko_mm.pp"
"C:\ProgramData\Vectric\VCarve Desktop\V8.5\PostP\Shapeoko_inch.pp"

Mark Bellon created a pair of Post-processors especially for the Nomad:

https://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php ... nch.pp.txt
https://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php ... nch.pp.txt

and there are some further notes on Vectric software for the Nomad/Shapeoko (and other machines using Grbl) on the Commercial Software page on the Shapeoko wiki.
