safe Z with a plunge

Post by aroff »

running a Michael Tyler creation, the miny grandfather clock
file 3a-3b calls for a down plunge, then raises up and make a small move over and then does it all over
when it comes up from the plunge it does not clear the project and hit the board

how do i get to raise up higher to clear
have mad several changes but can't seem to get it

The clearance on those moves is the Z1/Z2 setting on the material setup on the toolpaths tab. However that should all be automatic based on the thickness and z-zero setting. Are you using the same thickness of material that the file is setup for any have you set the z-zero correctly?

set for material surface
board is .75 and is set as such
Z1 and Z2 are set to 1.0
will reset z-zero with touch plate
