3d model split
I split the rose model into 5 panels. How can I create 5 separate 3d v3m files? Thanks Duane

You can't save as a .v3m file, you can only save them as a .crv3d file or I think a .3dclip file. You can also export them as .stl
Not sure if that answers your question but hope it helps.

Re: 3d model split
If you want to open them in VCarve you've got a problem as the only format that is compatible between VCarve and Aspire as far as 3D stuff that an end user can create is STL. You can only import one of those into a VCarve job.
You could use the original model in VCarve and then draw vector boundaries to mark the areas you want to machine and do it as five separate toolpaths. Not 100% sure if that will give you what you're looking for though. Alternatively you could take the five parts you've got in Aspire, space them out and save them as one STL to load into VCarve, again that might not work for you due to size of workspace etc but it's another idea.

Just go into Tile. There are a few videos on how to split your work up if its too big for your machine (if thats what I am thinking?) But, same concept.
