Zoom while moving an object

I apologize if I posted this to the wrong place earlier....

Is there a way to zoom when you have an object selected and are dragging it to another location?

Not while you're actually dragging it as far as I know but if you stop dragging then you can use the mouse wheel or shift with the right mouse button to zoom. The object will still be selected so you just need to hold the mouse button on it again to start dragging.

Thanks very much for the reply. That works perfectly. I had used that method a thousand times before but never when trying to move an object.
