Coloring 3-D models
I have two models that have been scanned by a 3-D scanner. I would lilke them to have a bronze appearance. would someone here be so kind as to color them for me in either Aspire, or Artcam? If someone is willing please get back to me at lotec@cox.net and let me know what format you want the models in.
Thanking you is,

Can you not do that yourself?? Bronze is listed in the material set up in the metals section.

Look thru Google images for "bronze" and add your favorite to Aspire's texture bitmaps.

Re: Coloring 3-D models
I have a few textures that I have added as backgrounds but I would like to have them as templates but I cannot figure out how to do it.
Anyone able to tell me please? Sand

Ms. Wolffie,
Open the Application Data Folder and put the image into which ever folder you feel it needs to be in.
Is this what you are referring to ?

Re: Coloring 3-D models
Thanks Michael, I have already done that.
What I would like to do is having some of my textures as a template so they can be part of the carving, not just for displaying the toolpaths.

Would "Create component from a bitmap " work ?

To get sand grains, rather than dimples, use the "subtract" feature.Would "Create component from a bitmap " work ?

What do you mean by a template in this context?

Re: Coloring 3-D models
I mean a toolpath that I can use in other files as a background that can be carved as part of the model.
I would like it to be available without having to find it on my PC or create it every time I want to use it, not just as a material background for the preview.
The sand was just an example.
Say, for arguments sake, that I have a bird I want to carve and want a leafy background for that bird. Then I could just call on the toolpath to be part of the background.

Re: Coloring 3-D models
It would always have to be integrated as part of the model rather than just a toolpath on it's own but once you've created a 3D texture you can save it as CRV3D file and then drag and drop it into the current job with the Clipart browser.
