Drill Banks

Post by mrwoodworks »

Will Aspire recognize drill banks on the big iron? I have a biesse A3.4 Ft with a 13 spindle drill bank separate from the spindle. The machining software does not seem to recognize the drill toolpath from the post processor.
Any thoughts?

Mr...
I believe it has been stated that Vectric products do not support drill banks.

Drill bank support was added as part of the release for Aspire 4.5/VCP 7.5.

I'd recommend contacting support@vectric.com for help with the post processor for your particular machine.

Just a quick follow up here. Randall is correct in that we did originally add drill bank support to an early beta version of Aspire 4.5/ VCP 7.5. Unfortunately it never actually made it into the release as we didn't feel we had tested a wide enough range of machines and drill banks to ensure the feature was robust.

Thanks,
Adam
